Dad's Read
AP, Marina High, D43
Event Feedback: “The Dad’s Read Event was an awesome way to meet my community. It felt great to give back and see that everyone was having a good time! My favorite part of the event was the rock painting. It really made my day that I got to help little kids have fun and express their creative talent.”
Event Feedback: “The Dad’s Read Event at the library was a fun and entertaining experience where we bonded with the people in our community. It was fun helping out and meeting children there!”
Marina High Key Clubbers volunteer at the local Marina Library to help assist the Dad’s Read. An event where families get together and fathers read aloud stories. Key Clubbers help set up, supervise, and do their best to aid everyone.
Hope Walk
CL, College Park, D26N
College Park Key Club joined the 2023 Hope Walk to support the fight against Cancer. Our members volunteered at the 5k walk around Heather Farms Park. In total, Hope Walk had around 1,000 walkers and raised 250,000 dollars worth of donations! My own personal input on the walk is that it was very wholesome to see so many people come together to support the fight against cancer. Simply joining a walk could change a person’s life. This event really highlighted the positive in humanity. When a whole group of strangers come as one, we become a family supporting the same goal. Overall, it was an event that sparked hope in people’s hearts. The money raised goes to helping cancer patients, so that they can live a healthy and cancer-free life! All our members enjoyed the Hope Walk, especially walking with some of our Martinez Kiwanis members! Lastly, Hope walk is an event where we make a difference in the world just by taking one step.

June DCM & Banquet
PP, Damonte Ranch, D23
At the DCM/end-of-term banquet, we ate lots of yummy food and celebrated the 2022-2023 term. It was so great to see so many familiar faces once again while listening to many amazing farewell speeches along with celebrating everyone who earned awards. I had so much fun playing games at the end of the event and bonded with many yetis I hadn't met before. This was my last key club event before graduation and it was truly so fun and heartfelt… one I will never forget!
