Italian Festival
MV, Edison, D27S
On June 11, the annual Italian Festival was held in the Lodi Grape Festival Grounds, one of the largest service events that Division 27 South has every year. Volunteers took part in a variety of roles in the event, such as running a market, keeping track of admissions, and helping serve sauce for a sauce competition, “Boss of the Sauce”. Members who took part in the latter event got to try a variety of different sauces made by several chefs. They walked around the hall, giving bread and jars of pickles to guests and taste testers. During the middle of the event, three extremely tall Italians walked in and began making jokes and entertainment for everyone, leaving the dining guests and volunteers in laughter.

May DCM & Banquet
AU, Enochs, D46N
On May 16th, various members from the Key Clubs in Division 46 North attended the May DCM and D46N’s banquet. Bright and stunning at Davis High School’s small theater, the banquet began with members getting up to get delicious homemade food provided by one of the students. Following a delicious meal, Zoei, D46N LTG 22-23, proceeded to make the DCM’s announcements, grabbing everyone’s attention as she discussed past events and the future of the division. Later, awards for the term were given out to members. Afterward, Zoei began a game called “Zoei’s Planet” amongst her Division Leadership Team. Once the fun and games came to an end, Zoei gave her farewell speech, which led to Sophia Marogi, the D46N LTG for the 23-24 term, giving her speech, introducing herself as the new LTG. She proceeded to introduce the new elected Division Leadership Team, before finally ending the banquet. At the end of the day, the May DCM and banquet was a wonderful experience that allowed me to reconnect with other Key Clubbers, both in my home club and outside, and enjoy the joyful environment. I’d highly encourage others to partake in these events, as they provide fond memories to cherish and incredibly fun activities that everyone can enjoy.

Heritage Hill
KD, Trabuco Hills, D04S
For the month of May, Trabuco Hills Key Club visited Heritage Hill Park for their Rancho Days Fiesta event on May 6th. This event included many different activities that helped teach about different cultures. Our Key Clubbers participated in stations that taught them how to make cultural foods and art crafts. Some members helped at a tortilla making station, while others were at a leather stamping stand. Members at the tortilla station got to learn about the process of making tortillas. Not only did they help make the tortillas, but they were also able to have a try of the delicious flavors! The Key Clubbers at the leather stamping station brought lots of entertainment to the families at the event. The children who made leather keychains were able to have fun, while enjoying the culture and community. This event allowed for the community of Lake Forest to cherish and enjoy other cultures. Including our Key Club members, the children and adults were able to watch different cultural music get performed. The performers wore beautiful outfits that belonged to their cultures, which taught the crowd about cultural identity. The Rancho Days Fiesta was a fantastic experience for our Key Clubbers as they were able to learn about different cultures. This event helped our members learn new traditions, and also how to love and appreciate their own backgrounds.
