Painting for Drama Club
LG, Pacific Coast, D04E
For this Months service event PCHS key club students took several hours making props for PCHS drama club. They worked outside after collecting materials to make these props. Students hand drew, painted and cut out stars to go with the productions backdrop. They then finished off each star with a shimmering sela so the stars would shine under the lights. In addition to this we kicked of the meeting by addressing spirit week. We also awarded member of the month to a very special key clubber. In addition to this students were able to explore their artistic abilities and help out a fellow PCHS club.
Fall Rally
MV, Damonte Ranch, D23
This being my first Fall Rally was one of the best experiences I have had in Key Club. This district event gave me many amazing opportunities to embrace the leadership, service, and character building aspect of Key Club and how it impacts me as an individual. Most importantly we had fun, we had spirit, and we raised money for a good cause! The spirit session was an experience like no other in Key Club and a time to not forget. Many memories and friends were made and the whole vibe of the event was joyful and amazing. BEEing part of this event was amazing and definitely and event that changed my key club journey!
LTG Visit
SH, Oxnard, D42W
Our LTG Sofia Barajas visited us during lunch on October 22, 2022! McKayla Dunne and Omaree Brown, our co-presidents, presented together and welcomed Sofia greatly! The club continued to the normal business of ways to get hours, being dues paid, and Fall Rally. However, they also added our LTG within our slide so the club could learn more about her! She had her very own slide where she was free to present. The club was originally nervous about the visit, because we recognize that we still have areas to improve on. Luckily, the meeting went great. We ended the meeting with “L.O.V.E. WE LOVE OUR L.T.G.!” We would love her to come back!
Two Cities Marathon
CB, Clovis East, D05N
On November 6, Clovis East Key Club volunteered at the Twin Cities Marathon! We handed out water and sports drinks to the runners as they passed by our station. We also cheered on the runners as they passed by. Throughout the morning, our members were able to interact as we set up our station, allowing us to build connections with one another! We had such a good time being able to interact with others who shared our views in serving the community, as well as supporting the runners who partook in the marathon!
Fall Rally North
RD, Enochs, D46N
If you asked me two years ago, I wouldn’t be able to tell you what Fall Rally North was. But now, I am so grateful to have experienced FRN for the first time, especially as a Spirit Leader! Going into FRN, I didn’t really know what to expect. However, the rally literally blew my mind! I have never seen our division full force as we were at FRN. We might be small, but our spirit has no bounds! I was so proud of each and every member who stood up and YELLED “It’s everyday bro” (Key Club Version) with no embarrassment and sheer pride. The fact that we were so loud and supportive of other divisions allowed us to advance past the first round, and I will never forget the looks on our faces, especially Dalya. Dalya has taught me so much about what it is to be a spirit leader, and I am going to work as hard as I can to live up to her legacy! FRN surpassed my wildest dreams (also Midnights came out that day, even better) and I cannot WAIT to make history next year!
