Key Leader
AV, Gregori, D46N
When asked to describe Key Leader in one word, I simply cannot find one to describe it best. This was such a memorable weekend that made you reassess, not just what you thought you knew about leadership, but your actions and how you interact with others. We went through presentations on the different aspects of leadership. We also completed projects along the way which often included some form of poster-making. However, we still had plenty of time to get to meet new people from other divisions and explore the area around us. We went on hikes and spent lots of time outside (when it wasn’t raining). I would like to say that my favorite part was the hike, however, the s’mores on our second-night win, especially after a long rainy day. Key Leader was an incredible experience and I highly recommend that people should go to this event!
Two Cities Marathon
HP, Clovis North, D05N
At the Two Cities Marathon, volunteers passed out refreshments to racers. Some of us handed out electrolytes, while others handed out water.
Bell Ringing
AX, Las Plumas, D14
To kick off the holiday season, Las Plumas Key Club spent the month of November bell-ringing. Members, Breven and Carolyna, met outside of FoodMaxx in Oroville, CA. There, they bell rung, and collected donations for our local Salvation Army. As people walked past, our members were sure to spread the holiday spirit!
Holiday Fun Fair
AK, Kauai, D22M
On November 25, 2023, from 4:30 to 7:00 pm, the Kauai High Key Club got to participate in the Holiday Fun Fair at Kukui Grove. We had two tables set up; at the first table we had kids play a game called “table pong”. Two players had to throw ping pong balls into 10 cups against one another and after that, each got to choose what kind of prize they wanted, a candy or a little toy. At the next table, we had a coloring station going on. Kids would pick two types of color sheets and we would glue them together and then they got to color a little ornament that we then put together and tied a string on. Lots of kids liked doing both, but table pong was a real favorite. We all had a lot of fun with the kids and I think they did too. I’m looking forward to doing this again next year.
Opportunity Village
KT, Canyon Springs, D28N
During Opportunity Village, Canyon Springs Key Club worked inside of the Cookie Factory. We made hot drinks like cocoa, mochas, and spiced apple cider and sold cookies as well! We had a lot of fun interacting with families who were walking through the Magical Forest!
