Officer Bonding
JS, Murrieta Mesa, D37N
On July fifth, our Murrieta Mesa Key Club executive board hosted a fun and exciting Officer Snack Pack event. The purpose of this event is to help bond our club officers closer together all while we bake delicious cookies for firefighters in Murrieta. In attendance were our division treasurer and club president (Addison Minsch), club vice president (Talia Do), division head spirit coordinator and club treasurer (Nicholas Trinh), club secretary (Rebecca Song), and our club media editor (Sophia Sam). Our board decided to split our baking roles into two teams—one team for combining dry ingredients and another team for mixing the wet ingredients—to increase efficiency and productivity. After careful consideration and browsing over the endless cookie recipes in our cookbook, we ultimately settled on baking classic chocolate chip cookies; a widely considered fan favorite. Throughout the baking process, our team followed our cookbook’s recipe to a T. The completed result was the perfect chocolate chip cookies—crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. Later, our executive board drove to Murrieta Firefighter Station #2, and we hand-delivered the cookies to their firefighters. The firefighters were very appreciative of our gesture and they were very eager to share them amongst the rest of their staff. Our board had plenty of fun and laughter throughout this Officer Snack Pack event, and we hope to host another fun snack pack event sometime in the near future!!
