Fourth of July Parade

On July 3rd, Key Clubbers in our division met with Kiwanis at the American Graffiti Museum to work on the Independence Day Parade float. The Kiwanis chose to center the float around Key Club, so not only did we build and ride it, but Samantha Coronado designed it! We made what felt like millions of tissue paper flowers, giant flowers out of cardboard, and covered arches with those tissue flowers. We made a lot of progress and the entire process was really fun, but on July 4th, we still had some finishing touches to add before the parade started. We added the remaining flowers to the float and I distributed mini American flags to wave during the parade. Key Clubbers loaded onto the float and the parade soon began! It was so hot and my arms hurt from waving, but getting to (terribly) sing along to Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus while showing our Key Club spirit is definitely one of my top experiences with this club. Overall, this event was very successful and I am so hyped to continue to show our Key Club spirit (cough cough, at Fall Rally)!
