Halloween Spooktackular
AF, Claremont, D15N
On October 19th from 2-5 pm at Lewis Park in Claremont, Key Clubbers helped the city get into the Halloween spirit by helping run the city of Claremont’s free annual Halloween Spooktackular. Games varied from costume contests to spooky scary stories, and they even had accommodations for special needs families in the community with their special needs sensory zone. We mainly helped out with running the carnival game booths and seeing the little kids light up when they won a game brought a smile to all our faces. One of the cutest games we got to run was the costume contest for dogs! Cute little dachshunds in hot dog costumes and towering danes in basketball costumes all walked around in a circle, and we observed to see which really brought the Halloween spirit. This event brightened our moods along with the cities, and I’m grateful that I could be a part of such a fun community activity.
