Officer Training Conference

AU, Enochs, D46N

This year’s Officer Training Conference was an engaging learning experience for many key clubbers, officers, and members. Hosted at Turlock High School on June 14, members and largely officers from Division 46 North and Division 46 South attended to learn more about their respective roles, the key club environment in general, and how to improve themselves in various aspects. Being the Enochs Key Club News Editor, I found myself attending three sessions amongst the nine available: Sophia’s Vice President and President presentation, Michelle’s Key Club Rizz presentation, and Celine’s Editor presentation. At the VP and president workshop, Sophia did an incredible job explaining in great and engaging detail the responsibilities and tasks that come with these roles, and how to manage them while taking care of oneself. Michelle’s Key Club Rizz presentation was especially entertaining, with a lighthearted atmosphere around it, along with nice details surrounding how to attract and keep members engaged going into a new key club term. I was happy to aid D46N’s news editor, Celine, in her editor’s presentation, and greatly enjoyed seeing all the details concerning my position along the way. All in all, this event was incredibly engaging and a fun way to interact with others from a different division. The information was abundant and even more interactive than last year. I’d greatly recommend other key clubbers, even if they are not officers, to attend this event in the future, as it provides easy-to-digest details about positions that may interest members.
