Officer Dares

CA, Upland, D15N

During the first of May, Upland Key Club hosted its annual Officer Dares in order to raise money for the Pediatric Trauma Program. On this day, we saw our Key Club officers executing various dares funded by other Upland High School students. These dares include “inhaling helium”, “a hundred squats”, “talk with the wall”, and many more to witness the playful suffering of our UHS Key Club board.

All Upland Key Club executives and appointed board officers were given at least one dare to complete. However, Ethan Chang, Upland Key Club’s Treasurer, had the most dares assigned to him, ranging from “wearing a full face of makeup” to “singing a song (chosen by the donator).” The day closed out with the most anticipated dares, “pie in the face” and “a bucket of water,” which were both done outside. Nadine, Ethan, Bryan, and Claudine were unfortunately unable to escape this dare and walked out with a face full of whipped cream. On the flip side, Nadine, Ethan, and Claudine were able to wash the sugar off their faces because along with Upland Key Club’s President, Paula, and their fundraising coordinator, Megan, they were all dared to be splashed with a bucket of water. Upland Key Club’s Officer Dares was a success in efficiently raising money for the Pediatric Trauma Program, and we look forward to closing our school year with Key Club spirit.
