CITP Set Up

SR, Piedmont Hills, D12E

It was the beginning of Thanksgiving Break, and I arrived at Plaza de Cesar Chavez to help set up for Christmas in the Park. There, our job there was to create signs with the name of sponsors for the various Christmas trees scattered around the park. This was a pretty mundane task, in which Kyle, Dustin, and I formed an assembly line, passing around stakes and stapling the name of sponsors onto them. I felt like an elf from the repetitive task (and my height), working hard in Santa’s workshop. Eventually, after speeding through most of the signs, we switched to a drill to nail the more important sponsors’ signs. Although there were some difficulties with the drill, mostly due to Kyle’s skill issue (a defective drill), we quickly got all the signs done. After we had finished our job, we enjoyed coffee, donuts, and pizza. Overall, it was an extremely fun time, and I am excited to see you all at the Kiwanis Booth!
