"Pinner Key Clubbers create delicious treats for Pediatric Trauma Program!"
On July 8, 2016, some of the Piner High School Key Club members came together at President Lauren Lau’s home to make delicious treats for the Pediatric Trauma Program sale at G&G. The day was filled with happiness and laughter as the Key Clubbers made delicious Rice Krispie treats and posters. Jasmine Alvarez used her artistic abilities, as Paola Ramires used her creativity to make all of the posters. Meanwhile, the Rice Krispie treats were closely monitored by Lauren Lau and Fernando Becerra, as they measured all of the ingredients perfectly and stirred the pot to get the perfect texture. On Saturday, July 9, Piner and Cardinal Newman Key Club sold Rice Krispies, brownies, lemonade, and horchata in front of G&G Supermarket from 11 am - 2 pm. While we were selling, we also made some ribbon leis for Key Club spirit. Many people were interested in PTP and asked many questions about the program. On Sunday we also sold cupcakes, and a member from our Kiwanis Club (Redwood Empire) also helped us with the fundraiser and lei making. That weekend we made $132.75.
